  • 3 tablespoons pickling salt

  • 4 sprigs fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Prepare jars by washing them in hot soapy water or running them through the dishwasher.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  3. Add garlic, mustard seeds, and peppercorns; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Pack cucumber spears tightly into clean jars with dill sprigs.
  5. Pour the brine over cucumbers until fully submerged.
  6. Seal jars and let cool at room temperature for an hour before refrigerating.
  7. Allow pickles to marinate in the fridge for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
