  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, blend melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until no flour remains visible.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Top with remaining batter and swirl gently.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are firm but center is slightly soft. Allow to cool before slicing.
