  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups fresh apples, peeled and chopped (preferably Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and ¼ cup granulated sugar until crumbly. Press into the baking dish to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the remaining sugar, then mix in sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time.
  4. Fold in chopped apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour the mixture over the crust.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely on a wire rack before refrigerating for at least four hours.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares and serving.
