Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 2 cups diced firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, beat eggs with milk until frothy. Gently fold into the dry mixture until just combined.
  3. Peel and dice apples into small chunks and fold them gently into the batter.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  6. Transfer fried fritters to paper towels to drain excess oil and dust with powdered sugar while warm.
