  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes). Stir in red pepper flakes.
  3. Combine drained pasta with garlic oil in the skillet, tossing to coat. If necessary, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
