  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in pumpkin puree, melted butter, egg, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add flour until combined; knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl covered with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over it, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mix.
  5. Roll tightly from one end to another; cut into equal pieces (about 1 inch thick) and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before drizzling with icing.
