  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice. Marinate chicken in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear marinated chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet. Pour remaining marinade into the skillet, add cornstarch mixture, and stir until thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.
