  • 1 sheet puff pastry (about 250g)
  • 400g high-quality sausage meat
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tsp olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent; add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. In a bowl, combine sautéed onion and garlic with sausage meat. Season with salt and pepper; mix well.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick, then cut into rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling at one end of each rectangle. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish. Arrange on the baking sheet with space between each roll.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
