  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1 cup fresh salmon or imitation crab meat, chopped
  • 4 nori sheets, cut into strips
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (preferably Japanese mayo)
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice: Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until clear. Cook according to package instructions and mix in rice vinegar once done.
  2. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the seafood with mayonnaise and sriracha. Stir in green onions.
  3. Layer: Spread half of the cooked rice in a baking dish. Add the seafood mixture on top, then layer with the remaining rice and press down gently.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown on top.
  5. Finish: Sprinkle sesame seeds and additional green onions on top before serving.
