  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 tbsp harissa paste
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour in the marinade. Seal and shake gently to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F) or oven to 375°F.
  4. Cook chicken on the grill for 6-7 minutes per side or bake for 25-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Let rest five minutes before slicing and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.
