Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine blackberries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 tbsp flour. Gently mix until berries are coated.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and nuts if using. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Spread the blackberry mixture evenly in the prepared dish and top with the crisp mixture.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
